We have very fond memories of our stay in 2000 and 2004.

We would like to say a big thank you to both families and all the staff at the hotel Aminta, des and I had a great holiday you are all wonderful people, the food was very good as usual, the weather was amazing, we always enjoy our holiday at the hotel. We also meet some nice people at the hotel. The Hotel has some wonderful views it has everything you want on holiday great hotel ,food and weather .

Wow, what an amazing week we have been treated to at the Aminta! We were there the last week in May and it was our 9th stay at the hotel. We were welcomed back so warmly and were made to feel relaxed from the moment we walked into reception. Having arrived late in the evening we were allowed to settle in to our favourite room in which we found a beautiful bouquet of flowers, a selection of fruit and a complimentary bottle of wine. A delicious platter of cold food had been put aside for us in the dining room as well, despite our late arrival. All such lovely touches. The Aminta and Sorrento is our favourite holiday destination in the world! It’s elevated position, away from the hustle and bustle of the town itself, provides a wonderful viewpoint over Sorrento itself and across the bay of Naples to Vesuvius and the Isles of Capri & Ischia. Simply breath taking. I could sit all day & night on our balcony taking in the views. The views can also be taken in from the terrace where you can relax with a coffee, have lunch or sip a cocktail on an evening. Seeing the sunset over Capri is not to be missed. We normally visit places like Pompeii, Vesuvius, Capri, etc but this holiday we just wanted to relax and did so by chilling out around the pool which is lovely and clean with the added bonus of now being heated. The food served in the impressive dining room at breakfast time and in the evening are beautifully presented and mouth wateringly tasty. There is a huge variety of food at breakfast time, including hot and cold options. We stayed on a half board basis so in the evening there are around 5 or 6 choices of starter and main course with a selection of desserts to finish with. There is an a la carte option too and I noticed that the restaurant currently sits at no.1 on Trip advisor in its own right. I am not surprised. We often had our lunch on the terrace at the hotel, the buffalo mozzarella cheese with tomatoes and the Parma Ham & Melon options were just delicious and where better to enjoy them than on the terrace while looking out across the sea to Vesuvius. There is a regular courtesy bus service to take you down into Sorrento and to bring you back again but the walk down into Sorrento only takes about 15 minutes and you get some lovely views on the way down. There are lots of great shops, bars, cafes and restaurants in Sorrento and it’s a great base to do lots of sightseeing. There are also lots of nice walks that take you to Roman ruins and secluded little bays and coves where you can swim in the lovely clear sea. Ask at reception how to get to Regina Giovanna, a gorgeous hidden lagoon where you can swim through the archway in the rocks and out into the bay of Naples. You won’t be disappointed. What really sets this hotel aside from any other that we have visited and what makes us want to keep coming back are the people that work at the hotel. They are the heartbeat of the hotel and I have yet to find staff anywhere else that come close to matching the levels that are reached at the Aminta. They are consistently wonderful. They clearly take great pride in their work and are professional but at the same time are so polite & friendly. They set the bar very high and never fall below it. I will start by mentioning the bar staff, Tony, Giuseppe & Francesco who were all very busy but still took time out to talk to my 9 year old son, Thomas, who could often be seen sitting at the bar chatting to them. They were all very patient, chatting to him in-between preparing and serving drinks. They really contributed to making Thomas’s holiday such an enjoyable experience so a massive thank you to them. The dining room staff, led by Michele, were so attentive and polite. Nothing was too much trouble for them. All of the waiters were so good so it is difficult to single out individuals but Thomas particularly liked Marco who gave him plenty of high fives, especially when Thomas had his Napoli track suit on, his new 2nd favourite football team! It was lovely to see some members of staff who have been there since our first visit back in 2002, particularly Lella on reception and Pietro and Michele in the dining room who greeted us like old friends, which I suppose we are after all our stays at the Aminta. All the people who work at the reception, the bar staff, the restaurant staff, right down to the porters, the cleaners and pool maintenance staff, they are all fantastic and a credit to the owner, Gianfranco. If they say they’ll do something they do it, you never have to ask twice. I contacted Gianfranco a few weeks before our holiday and asked if there was any chance that he could arrange to re-create the meal that we had at the Aminta for our wedding reception as it was going to be our 10th wedding anniversary during our stay. And sure enough, on the date in question my wife and I were treated to the most wonderful meal, accompanied by a bottle of champagne and specially made wedding anniversary cake. I would like to thank Gianfranco and Christina for their amazing hospitality and extend our gratitude to everyone who works at the Aminta who helped to make our holiday so special. You are all fantastic and hold a special place in our hearts. We are already planning our next visit and hope to see you all again next year  Ciao, Phil, Lynn & Thomas

Dear Hotel Aminta We have just returned to London after a few wonderful days in your hotel. Our stay with you was such an enormous pleasure for us, that we wanted to write and say thank you. Thank you to the kindness of the staff - the reception, all the waiters in the restaurant, the chamber maids. We cannot single any individual out for special mention because you were ALL friendly, courteous, helpful.......a real pleasure. Thank you too for the room upgrade, the spumante, the basket of fruit. As we were loading the car to leave, a member of your staff told us that wonderful months to be in Sorrento were September and October. Well, perhaps we will come again! Who knows!
